Choros International Dance Journal

A scholarly e-journal for dance as an art form

Choros International Dance Journal aims to contribute to the expansion of the scholarly dance community’s research views, both nationally and internationally.

About this journal
The journal is published online once a year with the support of the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation and the Onassis Cultural Centre Athens. Its readership includes choreographers, dancers, critics, teachers, academics and researchers, as well as state and private universities, colleges, professional dance schools, and people with a special interest in dance. Its international audience will be informed of the contemporary aspects of dance, its research methods and its value. 
The journal publishes original scholarly articles in English and/or Modern Greek, focusing on contemporary trends in dance as an art form, from praxis to theory. This includes choreography, performance and reception, education and theory, in all facets of dance.

Book Reviews:
Book Reviews set out to include topics from a wide and diverse research field, covering all the facets of dance and aiming to highlight the wide range of its research approaches and methods.

Circulation:
This is an e-journal published once a year in PDF format and not exceeding 200 pages per issue.

The 4th issue of Choros International Dance Journal is published by the Hellenic Centre of the International Theatre Institute, is co-financed by the NSRF 2007–2013 programme for development, and is part of the actions under the general title “From Practice to Theory of the Performing Arts”.
